Four Marks sits on the A31 south of Alton, on one of the highest points in Hampshire. Medstead is the adjacent village. Four Marks has grown considerably over the years and has a reasonable range of local shops, a primary school, and the Watercress Line heritage railway runs through Medstead. Housing is a real mix, from older village properties to 1970s estates and modern new-builds. It is not the prettiest village but it is practical. The elevation means it can feel exposed in winter. Popular with families who want village life with actual amenities nearby.
