GU10 1 / GU12 6
The older part of Ash village, south of the railway line. There's a proper village centre with a church, a couple of pubs, and a small parade of shops, though nothing you'd go out of your way for. Housing is a mix of Victorian and Edwardian cottages near the centre and postwar estates further out. Ash station gives you South Western Railway services to Guildford and Reading. The Hartsdown area has some larger detached houses. It functions well enough day to day, but it lacks the polish of the Surrey villages further south. Families move here because it's more affordable than Farnham or Godalming while still being in the Guildford catchment.
