West Hendon has been reshaped by the massive Barratt regeneration of the old West Hendon Estate. New tower blocks now overlook the Welsh Harp reservoir, which is a genuine wildlife haven and one of the borough's best-kept secrets. Hendon tube (Northern line) is the nearest station. The older parts of West Hendon are modest interwar terraces. The new builds have brought a different demographic, but the area still feels like it's finding its new identity. The reservoir makes it unusually green for this part of London.
