Farnham Common sits right next to Burnham Beeches, which is one of the finest ancient woodlands in southern England and the real reason people choose this village over somewhere closer to a station. There's a small parade of shops and a couple of pubs, enough for daily life without being a destination. Housing is mostly detached, lots of 1930s and postwar builds on generous plots. No station of its own, so it's Gerrards Cross or Slough for the train. Farnham Royal is just down the road and the two tend to blur together. It's quiet, green, and well-off without making a fuss about it.
