Blackfen

Blackfen is a small suburban centre between Sidcup and Bexleyheath. The parade of shops along Blackfen Road covers the essentials and there is a decent local community. Housing is almost entirely 1930s semis, well maintained and popular with families. There is no station, so you are relying on buses to Sidcup or Bexleyheath for trains. It is the kind of place people move to because they found a good house at the right price and then quietly stay for years.
