Welling

Welling has a long high street that runs through the middle of the area with a solid range of shops, a Lidl, independent businesses, and places to eat. It is not beautiful but it works and serves the local community well. Welling station is on the Bexleyheath line to London Bridge. Housing is classic 1930s semis, many extended and improved. Danson Park is accessible from the southern end. It has a no-nonsense, practical suburban feel and is popular with families who find Bexleyheath prices creeping up.
