Kilburn High Road is one of the longest, busiest, most energetic high streets in London. It has everything from Primark to pound shops to proper Irish pubs that have been here for decades. The area straddles three boroughs (Brent, Camden, Westminster) which means it falls through administrative cracks. Kilburn tube (Jubilee) and Kilburn High Road station (Overground) both serve it. Housing is big Victorian properties, heavily converted into flats, plus council estates. It's noisy, congested, and diverse. Some of the side streets towards Maida Vale are surprisingly grand. It suits people who want urban energy and decent transport without paying Maida Vale or West Hampstead prices.
