BR5 1
Petts Wood has one of the best local shopping parades in the borough. Independent shops, good restaurants, a proper butcher, a fishmonger, and a real community feel around the station area. The station itself gives you fast trains to Victoria, London Bridge and Blackfriars. The National Trust woodland that gives the area its name is a lovely walk. Housing is predominantly 1930s, built by Noel Rees when Basil Scruby developed the area. It's a textbook example of a well-planned interwar suburb and it works brilliantly. Families and retirees are the main residents.
