Newton Longville is a village just south of Bletchley that has been under threat of development for years thanks to proposed housing and the old east-west rail plans. For now it is still a recognisable village with a green, a pub, a church, and a primary school. The housing is a mix of older cottages and some mid-century infill. Being close to Milton Keynes means it is more accessible than many north Bucks villages, but also means it feels the pressure of expansion more than most. The proposed East West Rail route has been a source of local anxiety.
