Canvey Island South

The south side facing the Thames Estuary, with the sea wall walk that runs along the front. This is the part of Canvey that actually feels like a seaside place, with views out across the water toward Kent. Concord Beach and the old seafront area are down here. The Labworth Cafe, designed in the 1930s modernist style, is a local landmark. It is exposed and windy but the sea wall path is popular with dog walkers and runners. Housing is a mix of the usual bungalows plus some older properties from before the flood.
