Hanger Hill is one of Ealing's quieter, more affluent pockets. The Hanger Hill Garden Estate, built in the 1930s by the same architects as Hampstead Garden Suburb, has a distinctive planned feel with curving roads and Arts Deco houses. Hanger Lane tube (Central line) is on the edge. The houses here are substantial, mostly detached and semi-detached, and they hold their value well. The Hanger Lane gyratory is a notorious traffic bottleneck but the residential streets behind it are surprisingly peaceful. Popular with families who want space and access to the Central line.
