Perivale is bisected by the A40 Western Avenue, which gives it a disconnected feel. The residential streets south of the A40 are quiet, with 1930s semis and some newer development. Perivale tube is on the Central line. The Hoover Building on the Western Avenue is an Art Deco landmark, now a Tesco. Perivale Park and the Brent Valley are nearby for walks. It's a functional, affordable corner of Ealing without much of a social scene. The Myllet Arms is about it for local character.
