Bowes Park sits on the border with Haringey and feels more like Wood Green's quieter neighbour than part of Enfield. The station (Great Northern) gives you a fast run into Finsbury Park and King's Cross. Victorian and Edwardian terraces line the residential streets, many converted into flats. Myddleton Road has been cleaned up in recent years with a growing cluster of independent cafes and shops. It's popular with young families and professionals who've been priced out of Crouch End and Muswell Hill.
