RH18 5
Forest Row is the biggest settlement in this group, a long village strung along the A22 with Ashdown Forest literally on the doorstep. It has a real identity, shaped heavily by the Michael Hall Steiner school and a community that leans towards organic, holistic, slightly alternative. The high street reflects this with independent shops, a wholefood store, and a couple of decent cafes. There is no train station so you are driving to East Grinstead for the line into London Bridge, about 15 minutes in the car. The surrounding countryside is Winnie-the-Pooh territory, Hundred Acre Wood and all that. Families move here for the lifestyle and the forest access, not for convenience.
