Frimley proper is centred on the high street and the roads leading off it. Housing is a real mix, from Victorian terraces near the centre to 1950s and 60s semis further out, with a fair amount of newer infill. The high street has the basics covered, a Tesco Express, takeaways, a couple of pubs, but nobody would call it a destination. Frimley station gets you into Waterloo in under an hour, which is the main draw. The hospital (now relocated to the new site) was the area's biggest employer for years and its absence has left a gap. Families settle here because it's affordable by Surrey standards and the schools are reasonable.
