Stanmore sits at the end of the Jubilee line and the northern tip of the borough. The Broadway has a decent run of shops and restaurants, including several good kosher and South Asian options. The old village area around the church retains some character. Housing ranges from large detached houses on private roads to standard 1930s semis. Stanmore Common and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital are local landmarks. It is wealthier than most of Harrow, with a significant Jewish community. The commute via the Jubilee line is straightforward if you can get a seat.
