Elm Park

Elm Park sits on the District line and exists largely because of the station. The parade of shops along the main road serves daily needs, with a market, cafes, and takeaways. Housing is overwhelmingly 1930s semis and terraces, built when the tube arrived. It's affordable by Havering standards and popular with families and older residents who've been here for decades. The area around the station is busy, but side streets are quiet. It's not going to win beauty contests, but it works.
