Harold Wood

Harold Wood has a station on the Elizabeth line, which has transformed its commuter appeal. Journey times to Liverpool Street are around 30 minutes. The area around the station has a small shopping parade with a Co-op and some independents. Housing is mainly 1930s semis and terraces, with newer estates on the fringes. It's more affordable than Upminster and quieter than Romford. The hospital (now closed, being redeveloped) was a big local landmark. Families like it for the schools and the fast train.
