Ashenground is a residential area on the eastern side of Haywards Heath, built through the latter half of the 20th century. It has a mix of housing types and a local shopping parade. The area is popular with families because the primary schools are well-regarded and the train station is reachable on foot. It does not have much village character but it is comfortable and practical.
