Chadwell St Mary

Chadwell St Mary sits on the hill above Tilbury and has always considered itself separate. It is more of a village that got swallowed by Thurrock's expansion, with a recognisable centre around the church and a few local shops. Housing is a mix of interwar semis and some newer estates. Families tend to gravitate here rather than Tilbury proper because it feels calmer and slightly removed from the industrial side of things. The A13 is accessible but the village itself is not right on top of it.
