Tilehurst & Purley

This covers the southern part of Tilehurst running down towards the Thames at Purley on Thames. Purley itself is a distinct little village with a proper high street, a pub on the river, and a rowing club. It has more character than most of Tilehurst. The housing ranges from interwar semis up on the hill to larger detached places closer to the river. Pangbourne is just upstream if you want a pub lunch or a walk along the towpath. It's a good spot if you want to feel like you're near the countryside while still being ten minutes from Reading.
