The southwestern edge of Tilehurst, stretching towards the Holybrook stream and the fringes of Calcot. There's a mix of housing eras here, from 1950s council-built stock to more recent estates. The Sainsbury's and retail park at Calcot is where most people end up for a big shop. It feels more like the edge of town, with the M4 audible in places. Less characterful than the Purley end but practical for families who need space and motorway access.
