Thamesfield

Thamesfield covers the stretch of Putney nearest the river and the bridge. Putney Bridge itself is a landmark, and the embankment is where the Boat Race starts. Lower Richmond Road has some good local shops and restaurants. Housing is a mix of riverside flats, Victorian terraces, and some larger houses on the roads leading up toward the Heath. It is one of the more affluent parts of Putney with a pleasant, slightly sleepy feel.
