Tooting Broadway

Tooting Broadway is famous for its food. The market and the restaurants along the high street serve some of the best South Asian food in London, and the area has diversified into all sorts of cuisines. The tube station is Northern line, and the high street stretches all the way to Tooting Bec. Housing is Victorian terraces on the side streets, many of them still affordable compared to areas further north. It is genuinely diverse in a way that some of the gentrified parts of Wandsworth are not. Lively, unpretentious, and full of character.
