Datchet, Horton & Wraysbury

Three distinct villages lumped into one ward. Datchet is the best known, a proper Thames-side village with a green, a few pubs, and a station on the Windsor line that gets you into Waterloo. Flooding is the elephant in the room, and the 2014 floods are still talked about locally. Wraysbury is quieter, popular with people who like messing about on the water thanks to the reservoirs and gravel pits. Horton is tiny, mostly farmland and a few lanes. The village feel is genuine here, not manufactured. Housing is a real mix, from period cottages to bungalows and modern infill. Families and retirees, people who want to be near Windsor without paying Windsor prices.
