Chelmsford Rural West

This covers the scattered hamlets and countryside west of Chelmsford, taking in places like Roxwell, Highwood, and Margaretting. It is properly rural with narrow lanes, farmland, and no real centre or shops to speak of. You need a car for everything. Houses tend to be detached, often on larger plots, and prices reflect the space and quiet. Roxwell has a pub and a church but not much else. It is the sort of area where people move for the space and the countryside rather than any particular amenity, and you will spend a lot of time driving to Chelmsford or the A12.
