Quainton

A hilltop village with a windmill, a green, a pub and not much else in terms of services. The houses are a mix of old stone and brick cottages with some newer additions. The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is based here, which brings visitors at weekends. It's remote by Home Counties standards. HS2 construction has affected the area, with the line passing through nearby fields. People choose Quainton for the quiet and the views, not for convenience.
