Colindale has been transformed by massive new-build development over the past decade. The old Peel Centre, British Library newspaper site, and various brownfield plots have become tower blocks and mid-rises full of one and two bed flats. Young professionals and renters are the main market. Colindale tube (Northern line) is right there, which is the main selling point. The older streets around it are still quite ordinary, with 1930s terraces and some ex-council. It feels like a construction site that's gradually becoming a neighbourhood.
