Northchurch

Northchurch is technically its own village but it runs straight into the western edge of Berkhamsted with barely a gap. It has a proper village church, a primary school, and a small cluster of local amenities. The housing is mostly interwar and postwar, with some older cottages near the church. The Grand Union Canal passes through and the surrounding countryside is accessible on foot. It has a slightly more villagey feel than Berkhamsted proper, and people here often identify with Northchurch rather than the town. Families like it for the primary school and the slightly quieter pace.
