Shenley

A village to the east of Borehamwood with a proper village green, a church, and a couple of pubs. Shenley has managed to keep its rural character despite being close to the M25 and several large housing developments. The village centre has a few shops and a primary school. Housing is a mix of period cottages, Victorian houses, and modern estates on the fringes. Shenley Park, a private estate built on the old hospital site, is one of the most expensive addresses in the area. It's popular with families who want village life with a reasonable commute.
