Cricklewood

Cricklewood straddles Brent, Barnet and Camden, and has an unpretentious, no-nonsense character. The Broadway is busy with traffic and has a mix of independent shops, Irish pubs, and food shops reflecting the area's diversity. Housing is big Victorian terraces, many converted into flats, plus some interwar stock. Cricklewood station (Thameslink) is the main rail link, giving a fast run to St Pancras and the City. It has been earmarked for regeneration for years, with the old B&Q site and railway lands still awaiting development. People who live here tend to be more positive about it than its reputation suggests.
