Kingsbury

Kingsbury is the heart of Brent's Gujarati community. Kingsbury Road has an extraordinary concentration of Indian restaurants, sweet shops, and gold jewellers. During Diwali and Navratri the area comes alive. Housing is 1930s semis and some larger detached houses, many extended to accommodate multi-generational families. Kingsbury tube (Jubilee line) connects to central London. Fryent Country Park borders the area to the north. It has a strong community identity and most daily needs can be met without leaving the area.
