Welsh Harp takes its name from the reservoir, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a genuine wildlife haven in the middle of suburban north-west London. The residential streets around it are a mix of interwar semis and some newer housing. It borders both Brent and Barnet. There's no real centre or high street. The main draw is the green space and the waterside setting, which feels genuinely unusual for this part of London.
