Warley sits south of Brentwood centre, straddling the old A128. The former Ford headquarters (now demolished) and the old Warley Barracks site are landmarks, though the barracks area is being redeveloped. Great Warley has a distinct village character with the listed Grade I church of St Mary the Virgin. Little Warley is even smaller. Housing ranges from Victorian and Edwardian in the older parts to 1960s estates. Brentwood station is walkable from the northern end. It's less polished than central Brentwood but has its own identity.
