BR3 1
Beckenham has a proper high street with independent shops, restaurants and a Wetherspoons in an old cinema. The town centre feels more like a small Kent town than a London suburb. Beckenham Junction has trains to Victoria and London Bridge, plus a tram to Croydon, which makes it well connected. The housing stock is mainly Edwardian and Victorian, with some lovely Arts and Crafts houses around the Beckenham Place Park end. The park itself was recently restored and is now one of south London's best green spaces, complete with a swimming lake. Families dominate and the schools are a big draw.
