Bellingham

Bellingham sits in the southeast corner of the borough near Lower Sydenham station and has a reputation as one of the less affluent parts of Lewisham. There is a significant amount of social housing and the area can feel quite isolated from the nicer bits of the borough. Local shops are limited and the area does not have the independent cafe scene seen in neighbouring Brockley or Forest Hill. That said, residents who stay local tend to appreciate the community and the relative quiet compared to busier parts of Lewisham.
