West Wickham

West Wickham has a pleasant high street with a good mix of independent shops, cafes, and a few chains. It feels like a self-contained small town. The station has trains to Charing Cross and Cannon Street, plus Hayes for connections to London Bridge. Housing is mostly 1930s semis with some older stock near the centre. Spring Park and the surrounding woods provide plenty of green space. It's a family area through and through, with good primary schools and a community that revolves around the high street and the recreation ground. Less expensive than Beckenham, less remote than Hayes.
