Winslow is a proper small town with a market square, a good handful of shops, and a community that actually uses them. The high street has a butcher, a baker, pubs, and a few cafes. Winslow Hall is a notable William and Mary house on the edge of town. Like Buckingham, there is no railway station, though there has been talk of the East West Rail line bringing one back. Housing is a mix of older brick and stone buildings in the centre and newer estates around the edges. It has grown noticeably in recent years with new developments, which has changed the feel slightly but brought more families. The primary school is popular. It punches above its weight for a town its size.
