Belsize Park

Belsize Park sits between Hampstead and Primrose Hill. Big Victorian houses and mansion flats on wide, quiet streets. The Heath is walkable, which matters if you have kids or a dog. Swiss Cottage and Belsize Park tubes are both on the Northern line. There's a small strip of independents on Belsize Lane but you'll probably do most of your shopping in Hampstead or South End Green. Families like it because it's calm and the primaries are decent. It's expensive, but that's true of everything within walking distance of the Heath.
