Frognal

Frognal is the residential backwater between Hampstead village and Finchley Road. Steep, winding roads with large Victorian and Edwardian houses, many of them genuinely grand. University College School and other private schools are here, which shapes the weekday traffic. Frognal station on the Overground is barely used and feels like a secret. Finchley Road tube (Jubilee/Metropolitan) is more practical. It's wealthy and quiet, the sort of place where you walk past enormous houses and wonder who lives in them. Kate Bush grew up here, which gives you the vibe.
