Haverstock Hill is the steep road running from Chalk Farm up towards Belsize Park, and the streets either side of it. It's a transitional zone between the bustle of Camden and the calm of Belsize Park. Housing is a mix of large Victorian houses (mostly flats now), some council blocks, and a few newer developments. Chalk Farm tube is at the bottom, Belsize Park at the top. The Haverstock Arms and a few local restaurants dot the hill. It's the sort of place people end up rather than seek out, but the location between Camden and Hampstead is hard to argue with.
