Somers Town

Somers Town is one of inner London's most established working-class communities, sandwiched between Euston and St Pancras stations. The Chalton Street market, though small, has been going for decades. Council estates dominate, with a strong community identity despite the constant pressure of surrounding development. The area has been squeezed by HS2 construction at Euston, which has been disruptive for years. There's a community sports centre and a few local shops. It's not an area people move to for the lifestyle, but those who grew up here have deep roots.
