Longcross, Lyne & Chertsey South

This covers the southern fringe of Chertsey stretching out towards the M3 and the old Longcross military site. Lyne is a small village with a church, a pub, and not much else, which is part of the appeal. Longcross has been undergoing significant change with the redevelopment of the old DERA site into a large mixed-use scheme with new homes, studios, and commercial space. The area is rural in character but the M3 is never far away. If you want to be near Chertsey without being in it, this is the trade-off: more space and quiet but completely car-dependent.
