Central Greenford sits along the A40 corridor and around Greenford station, which has both the Central line and a branch of the GWR into Paddington. The housing is overwhelmingly 1930s semis and terraces, with some postwar estates. Greenford has a large South Asian community and the local shops reflect that, with plenty of grocers and takeaways. Horsenden Hill is nearby, one of London's more underrated green spaces with genuine countryside views from the top. It's practical and affordable by west London standards, but it's not somewhere with much independent character.
