Northolt is outer London suburbia on the edge of the borough. The housing is mainly 1930s and postwar council-built, with some newer housing association developments. Northolt tube is at the end of the Central line and it takes a while to get into town. RAF Northolt is nearby and you'll hear the occasional military aircraft. Northolt Park has a small Chiltern Railways station. The shopping parade on Mandeville Road covers the basics. It's affordable and that's the main draw. Families and older residents who've been here decades.
