Lower Edmonton centres on the stretch of Fore Street and Sterling Way. It's busy, urban, and diverse with a strong Turkish and Eastern European community. The shopping is practical rather than aspirational, with plenty of grocers, barbers, and takeaways. Housing is a mix of Victorian terraces (many converted) and council estates. It's affordable by London standards and well connected by bus, though there's no tube. Silver Street station (Greater Anglia) is the nearest rail option.
