Epsom Town

The town centre itself. The high street runs from the clock tower down to the station and has a solid mix of chains, independents, and restaurants. The Ashley Centre is the indoor shopping bit, functional rather than exciting. Market days bring some life to the square. There are Victorian and Edwardian terraces on the streets behind the high street, plus some newer flats closer to the station. Epsom Playhouse does theatre and cinema. It's a proper working town centre, not just a dormitory, which counts for a lot in Surrey.
