Watling

Watling takes its name from Watling Street, the old Roman road that the A2 follows. This is the eastern fringe of the Faversham area, covering the villages and hamlets along the road towards Canterbury. It is a scattered, rural area without a real centre. You are relying on Faversham or Canterbury for anything beyond basic needs. The countryside is attractive, with views across the North Downs, and it suits people who want space and do not mind driving for everything.
