Danehill and Fletching are two small High Weald villages separated by a couple of miles of narrow lanes and farmland. Fletching is the more well-known of the pair, a pretty village with the Griffin Inn, which has been a proper destination pub for years. Danehill is quieter with a village shop and a well-regarded primary school. You need a car for everything. The countryside is beautiful, rolling and wooded, with views south across the Ouse valley. Housing is a mix of period cottages and larger detached places, none of it cheap.
