Waddesdon is dominated by the Rothschild legacy. The Manor (National Trust) sits above the village and draws visitors year-round. The village itself was largely built as an estate village, which gives it an unusually well-kept, uniform feel. There's a village shop, a pub, and the Five Arrows hotel at the gates to the manor. Housing stock is mostly older cottages and some modest newer builds. The A41 runs nearby so it's not isolated, but the bus service is infrequent. It's a proper Buckinghamshire village with more polish than most.
